Founded in 1965, our mission is to provide women in the Yale community with opportunities to pursue intellectual and social interests; to develop friendships; and to support the scholarship awards program.
Benefiting from a Like-Minded Community
YUWO offers women members of the university community, whether new to Yale and the New Haven area or long-time members of the Yale family, a variety of opportunities for learning, friendship, and service. Education, recreation, and service have formed the heart of the organization’s structure from its earliest days.
ACTIVITIES
YUWO sponsors various activity groups that focus on specific interests of the members as well as three popular lecture series: the monthly Lunch and Learn programs, and the Fall and Spring Lecture Series.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Since 1972, YUWO has sponsored scholarships for Continuing Education to women of the Yale community. This program is designed to provide financial assistance to women associated with the Yale through their own affiliation or that of their immediate family members.
