Bella da Costa Greene Exhibit at The Morgan Library & Museum
This is a very exciting excursion! The exhibit, "A Librarian's Legacy" honors the 100th year anniversary of the appointment of Belle da Costa Greene as library director at the Morgan Library & Museum.
A Belle da Costa Greene docent will lead our tour as we explore her life and contributions to the history of the Morgan Library & Museum.
The 2021 novel "The Personal Librarian" is an excellent piece of historical fiction based on Greene's life. A great read, especially if you are taking the tour.

The beauty of a 3:00 Belle Da Costa Greene tour lends itself to accommodate everyone’s personal schedule. Although the window displays will be gone, there’s plenty of other things to do and see in the city in January. It’s always fun to spend time in the Winter Village at Bryant Park (41st Street and 6th Avenue). If you bring your skates along, you’ll skate for free but then you can choose to rent skates or just watch the skaters. There’s holiday shopping and rinkside dining!
Below is the printable PDF link to the Metro North train schedule leaving from Union Station in New Haven. It’s a 7-minute walk from Grand Central (42St and Park Ave) to the Morgan Library and Museum at 225 Madison Avenue.
