The Blackstone Library hosts our November Lunch and Learn with Tim Macklin, Co-Founder of Collective Oyster Recycling and Restoration (CORR). They are working to build and restore oyster habitats in Long Island Sound, providing many environmental benefits. Their mission is to reduce waste by reclaiming and recycling these valuable oyster shells consumed at restaurants and festivals that get thrown in the trash and end up in landfills. By saving these shells from landfills, they can provide homes for millions of baby oysters. New Haven might just become the oyster capital of the world AGAIN!

Bring your brown-bag lunch, and cookies and water will be provided in the auditorium of the Blackstone Memorial Library. There is no fee for the lecture.

To reserve a spot, RSVP to Sandra Greer.
