Excursions
The first trip of the year is to the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT. The home was designed by Theodate Pope Riddle, one of the first female architects in the United States. It was designed as a country home for her parents and is filled with spectacular art... masterpieces by Manet, Degas, Monet, Whistler and Cassatt. The grounds are lovely too.
