Back by popular demand, the Hotel Marcel tour, a fully sustainable, modern landmark, is scheduled for Thursday morning, February 5th, at 9:30AM.
Formerly the Pirelli Tire Building, the hotel is located in the Long Wharf area at 500 Sargent Drive, New Haven. Marcel Breuer, the modernist architect, designed it in the Brutalist style. It’s listed on both the CT Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places. Opened in May of 2022, it operates as a zero-energy building.
The restaurant serves breakfast or tea and coffee for those who’d like a bite before the one-hour long tour.
