This will be a 3 – 3.5 mile walk mostly on wide gravel, but with a few rocky spots and about 200 ft. elevation.
This is a Regional Water Authority site, so no dogs are allowed.
The entrance is on Rt 34, Derby Ave in West Haven
GPS: 642-761 Derby Avenue, West Haven.
NOTE: that Derby Avenue has a center divider, and the entrance can only be accessed from the side going away from New Haven towards Derby. If coming from the west, you need to make a u turn.
We will meet at 9:45 am for a 10 o’clock start
Please text me at 203-804-3133, 24 hours before the hike to let me know if you will be coming, so we can be sure to wait for you should you be delayed.
Note that there is a locked gate to enter, and I will lock it at 10:00 unless I know to expect you
If inclement weather, I will send an email to cancel before 7:30 on the day of the hike.
