Newberry Organ Tour at Woolsey Hall

Organized by Dana Nelson

We’ve heard such amazing feedback about the Newberry Memorial Organ tour at Woolsey Hall that we’ve scheduled a special YUWO tour for Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 AM. The tour will be led by Thomas Murray, Yale Professor Emeritus in the Practice of the Organ.

The tour will last 60-90 minutes and will be limited to 25 attendees.

The Newberry Organ is one of the most renowned Romantic organs in the world. It is named for John Stoughton Newberry, whose family had given Yale $50,000 for the building of the original Hutchins organ in 1903. The instrument is a monument to the craft of organ building and the technology of that time.
