Scholarship Eligibility and Application

 About Us

The Yale University Women’s Organization (“YUWO”) is committed to supporting women associated with the Yale community in their pursuit of academic and professional advancement. YUWO offers one-year scholarships for women whose formal education has been delayed or interrupted, and who wish to resume their academic studies or enhance their careers.

Scholarship Program Overview

The YUWO Scholarship Program enables women to continue their education with much-needed financial aid. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need. Past scholarship recipients have pursued studies in areas ranging from nursing and public health to business administration, engineering, library science, social work, and more.

Awards may be used at any accredited programs in the United States, including two- and four-year colleges, universities, and accredited online programs that offer associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Awards are exclusively for tuition and are paid directly to the institution. The number and amount of awards vary per year, with recent awards ranging from $2,500 to $10,500.
