West Rock Ridge State Park Hike

The next walk/hike will be on  Monday, DEC 1st, with a rain date of Tuesday DEC 2nd at West Rock Ridge State Park in Hamden. Park at the Lake Wintergreen parking area, GPS 29 Main St. Hamden 06518.

The hike is on the red and white trails north of the lake.

This can be a 3.2 mile loop or 1.3 mile loop depending on the wishes of those attending. (Or if some wish to do the longer and some the shorter, it is easy to all start off together with those wishing the shorter loop peeling off at a short connecting trail to the return trail).

Either way, this is an easy, flat hike with little if any elevation, half on a fire road and half through extensive stands of  beautiful mountain laurel, with very few short flat rocky patches. Note: This walk IS NOT along the ridge!
